A Rockabilly Wedding rhythm to Rock’n’Roll…
…and don’t forget the flamingos!
The bride is a friend of mine since six years, we met during a Master for Events Organization.
She follows her passion for the music and I specialized in Weddings. We did stay in touch all these years and I was so happy when she asked me to help with her wedding organization!
G&M are a very special couple, with a very original taste. The mood for their wedding was Rockabilly. It was a nice challenge for me to plan a wedding like this. All started from the bride’s dress, full customized and made by Marianna Lanzilli. A short lace dress, with little buttons on the back, a specific request from the bride, the outfit was completed by a little touch of the main color of the wedding: Red.
Bride & Groom work in music organization, for that they chose Rockabilly like mood and style. The wedding was a “work in progress”, they live in Milan, but the wedding was in Bologna, so they needed someone for the entire organization and design of the wedding, and also a wedding coordinator.
We started from invites, white with red pois and their wedding logo with flamingo, until the circle menù, like a vinyl.
For the centrepieces I thought about something different from usual:
- a vinyl, with a reference photo of the table’s name at the center
- red and white flowers in Coca-Cola glasses and bottles
- a decorated pop-corn box with pop-corn and the tag of the name of the table.
The final effect really was “rock&roll”, as you can see in the photos. The atmosphere was completed with some vinyl hung on ceiling’s wooden beam.
The Tableaux de Mariage was in rock&roll and fifties style as well. I painted wooden boxes in white and I used a stencil with Coca-Cola’s logo. I created a small space under a beautiful tree, on which I hung vinyl with red polka dot ribbons and the names of the guests.
Many elements bring back to the rockabilly’s theme and when the moment of the Wedding Cake came there was a little surprise: not only pretty favours for the guests (obviously hand-made by me), but also a cupcake tower with a mini cake on top and flamingos like Cake Topper!
After the cupcakes the Backstage Cards were distributed!
DJ e pool party started, the couple with friends gave themselves to the dances enjoying a Mojito.
The After Party photos are Top Secret!
N.B. Giada had the pleasure to be on of my Bride in Love, look how much she liked it!
