Good!
You have defined your Wedding Budget… welcome to the next step
You will be married in about twelve months, now you need to choose the right Venue.
How to find a Dream’s Venue?
You need to evaluate different factors:
- How many guests you have.
- The age of the guests.
- Your Wedding Style.
- If the Wedding will be on a lake, mountain, sea or city.
- The kind of reception you want for the Wedding.
- What kind of food you want.
- The Season.
- The Colors of the venue.
- If the venue is equipped in case of a hot or cold day.
- Are the services easily accessible for guests? In the case of a large number of guests, are the toilets sufficient for all of them?
- How much can the venue work with a “plan B”? In other words, is it an enjoyable place even in the event of rain?
- Do you want to dance at your wedding?
Some venues are perfect for small numbers, like 40-60 people, others are suitable from 150 to 500 people.
If you have many young friends among the guests and a few older relatives, you can also decide for a location with stairs or a more dynamic layout.
If your guests are mostly elderly, you must be careful not to choose a difficult place to reach and without too many obstacles, and with spots to sit and rest.
Even the color of the rooms in the venue is decisive, if the walls are orange, you will be forced to choose a certain palette of colors, compared to a neutral place with white or stone walls.
Are you a Bride who loves to dance with her Groom?
Do you want in your Wedding a moment when everyone will dance?
Choose a venue that has ample space to dance and is equipped for the DJ or the Band you choose. Or do you want light games and lots of fireworks? You must ensure that you can do it in the Venue you are looking for.
Have you chosen a Farmhouse with a beautiful park and you want that the aperitif and the reception take place in the park, not inside? In case of rain, plan B is triggered, that is to move aperitif and lunch / dinner inside the farmhouse, which is usually a large room….and that’s enough.
In case of rain a Villa or a Castel can be more dinamic and charming for your guests, there may be different spaces where your guests can move: cloisters, arcades and greenhouse.
If you choose a very elegant Bride dress, in satin and with a refined design, a farmhouse will not be appropriate. Your refined beauty will stand out, instead, if you had your reception in a Villa, a Castle, or a luxury Hotel as a backdrop.
If you love a shabby chic style Bride dress or a romantically bucolic cut, it is better to choose a more rustic place that enhances the “chaos of nature”.
Finally, if you want to get married by a lake, in a villa, a castle, a hotel, or restaurant, you will probably have to book well in advance because there is a much higher demand than other places.
